SEERIH's termly Primary Science Subject Leader Networks will take place online this term. A meeting link will be provided to registered attendees closer to the time.

The Bolton BoSCEP Spring term meeting will be on Developing Science Capital.

This session identifies ways in which schools can raise awareness of Science Capital and engage families with science learning. Teachers will:

  • develop understanding of Science Capital and its impact on achievement and attainment
  • reflect on current practice of involving families with science learning and engaging with the concept of science capital
  • identify realistic ways in which science capital can be developed in base school

Located within the University of Manchester’s Faculty of Science & Engineering, we bring our expertise, built up over nearly 20 years to work with schools across Greater Manchester.  By focusing on the development of in-service teachers with a range of dynamic partners we are relentless in our drive to inspire, fascinate and improve the teaching and learning of science in our schools today. Our remit is mainly primary school science curriculum and professional development.
